I’m Caden Marshall. I'm a freelance American Sign Language interpreter working in the Chicagoland area. I hold a BEl Intermediate certificate and license, a B.A. in ASL Interpreting, and a B.A. in Musical Theatre, enabling me to specialize in arts/theatrical interpreting work.
Post graduation, Deaf writer / director / Broadway actor Joshua Castille hired me as his personal interpreter. When not freelancing around Chicagoland, I interpret for Joshua's projects all across the USA for film, television, theatre, and more. I have been blessed to be mentored by numerous Deaf artists and friends. Their wisdom and generosity have allowed me to grow into a competent and respected freelance interpreter. I am truly grateful for the impact they have made on me.

Joshua Castille, best known for his work in the Broadway revival of Spring Awakening and as the Deaf Hunchback of Notre Dame, is a multihyphenate actor/director/writer for stage, film, and television. He and I met when he came to Chicago in 2022 to direct a professional production of The Little Mermaid. I was one of the 3 interpreters working on that production and we got along like a house on fire.
I work with Josh in many capacities, primarily as his personal ASL interpreter. This means that when he's working on a production, they fly me to wherever he is to be his onset interpreter. We began working together in 2022 and I hope to keep adventuring with him for many years to come.
